Life in PSID may be a tough one but like an afternoon tea delight,it is a breath of fresh air as compared to regular colleges.For the pas tyears,PSID had a consortium agreement with a known Manila-based college to offer major courses interior design for the students to attain a degree in interior design,which renders its graduates eligible to take the licensure exam.By 2013,PSID management opened PSID-Ahlen Institute that would serve as its college armin offering a four-yearBachelor of Science in Interior Design as recognized by Commission of Higher Education.
Mr.Leo Almeria is an alumnus and faculty of the Philippine School of Interior Design from 1982 to the present.His resume includes his affiliation to the Philippine Institute of Interior Designers,Asia Pacific Space Designer Association(APSDA)and International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers(IFI).
He is also the principal of his own design firm,(Leo Almeria Design Studio) and a contributing writer for Design and Architecture (Woman Home Companion)and book author for Tropical Interiors (Real Home).He was a magna cum laude at the Divine Word Seminary where he took AB Philosophy before getting an Interior Design Certification at PSID.
Mr.Almeria services home, commercial and contract/hospitality both here and abroad. He also gives his advises on furniture/product design,visual merchandising, special settings and styling. An array of home and office accessories from indigenous materials count to his products.His talent and ingenuity bagged him the 2008 Outstanding Professional of the Year Award in Interior Design Category.
I was invited to experience it for myself how to do a flower arrangement. Actually the hardest part is starting it and creating a vision. I was so lost because you really have to find your own flow and just go with it. Sir Leo was very nice and really helped us and really answered our questions.
